This year’s event focuses on the CRISPR bacterial adaptive immunity system and base editing using cytidine deaminase. Students will learn about identification of this adaptive immune system in nature, structural basis for cytidine deamination and specificity, and programmable editing of a target base in genomic DNA without double-stranded DNA cleavage.

PDB-101 training materials help graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and researchers use PDB data and RCSB PDB tools. Outreach content demonstrate how PDB data impact fundamental biology, biomedicine, bioengineering/biotechnology, and energy sciences in 3D for a diverse and multidisciplinary user community.
